I can think for myself. if you were really capable of thinking for yourself, there would be no danger in you seeing the film. There’s no danger, i think you’re wrong about that, at least with this person. by why should Moore profit? why should any film maker profit?

Good point.

Wow, I can’t believe how ignorant you really are.  I hope you are just being sarcastic and hoping to get a rise out of people.  I would suspect that is the case.  If not, I suggest you read up on Islam.  There are between 1.3 and 1.5 BILLION of them in the world.  It is a peaceful religion, but has extremist in it just like any other.  Keeping in mind Hitler was Christian and if everyone thought that is how all Christians act it wouldn’t look very good for us.  If Islam wasn’t peaceful in general, we would all be in some trouble being the amount of them.  It is the second largest religion and is one of the fastest growing.

Hitler was raised a Catholic, but he was not a Christian.  He saw Christians and Jews as united — against him.   Christians that he could not brainwash into being anti-semitic pigs he concluded to be his enemies. As far as "freedom" goes, it has nothing to do with invading a country like Iraq.  They had no real military to speak of as was evident by our invasion. It is sort of like what the Palestinians deal with against Israel.  They have no defense other than strapping a bomb on themselves.  Sad state of affairs.  I have studies Islam and also Iraq and why the Bush family wanted to invade it.  Don’t be so gullible.  They are making a boat load of money. Also, they were paid billions from the Saudis and further proof of that was when the only plane in the sky after 9/11 was many of bin Laudin’s family and a host of other Saudis.  We have young kids being killed over there just to make a few people money.  I really don’t know how those people can sleep at night?  I guess it takes all kinds.

It certainly does.  When you get a chance, read "The Fifty-six Deceits in Fahrenheit 911", by David Kopel. Biker

WILDOMAR – When Justin Hunt first tried to join the Marine Corps, the recruiters didn’t have a scale that could weigh him. So they simply estimated that he was more than 150 pounds above the maximum limit to join the service. Hunt, a hulking athlete then two years out of high school, didn’t let that stop him. He worked out hard, changed his diet and shed the pounds so he could enlist. Now his family is trying to hold on to the memories of that hard-charging year as they grieve for the 22-year-old lance corporal who was killed in an explosion Tuesday in western Iraq. "I want everybody to know what a great guy he was," his mother, Debbie, said as friends and relatives comforted her at the family home in Wildomar, a community about 75 miles east of Los Angeles. Amid preparations for a military funeral, the Marine’s family shared letters, photos and memories of a young man who embraced military life. "He loved being on a team, fighting for a goal," his mother said. "That was his personality." When he first approached a recruiter in 2002, Hunt was large but not completely out of shape. A dozen trophies in the living room attest to his high school accomplishments in baseball, wrestling and football. Still, he wasn’t Marine-fit. The recruiters estimated that the 6-footer weighed as much as 390 pounds, though they couldn’t be sure because the scale only went up to 350. "The recruiters were pretty taken aback by how big I was," he said in a 2003 interview with The Chevron, a newspaper that serves the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego. "But they were still willing to work with me to help me do what I had to do to become a Marine." That involved a lot of early morning runs through his semi-rural community in Riverside County, sometimes accompanied by a recruiter, Staff Sgt. Zach Delellis, family members said. "Any time he would get down and feeling like he might not want to do it, that recruiter was down here getting him out of bed," recalls his father, Tom. With a diet high in proteins, low in carbohydrates and as little junk food as possible, he got down to 207 pounds, just two pounds below the maximum allowed for his height. During boot camp in San Diego, he lost another 30 pounds and began telling his family that he wanted to be a drill instructor. Saw Fahrenheit 9/11 tonight.  It was pretty good, but I really already knew most of it from my readings and discussions with my father.  It sure is a shame that these young guys are going to Iraq for nothing, but to make Cheney and Bush  and a few of the good ol’ boys a pile of money.  It is scary stuff really. I sure feel bad for these families of these kids that get killed over there. I guess the American public is getting used to it though.  Most people don’t really care anymore.  Sort of like the Israeli’s expanding their lands and tearing down people’s homes and putting up their own settlements.  Who cares, as long as it isn’t us?  The problem with this way of thinking is we have things like 9/11 happen and people scratch their heads in disbelief.  I certainly believe it and also figure it will happen again as long as we arm the Israeli’s to the teeth to aid in their quest to have a bigger country. We sure do some stupid things in this country. JMHO, Curt

So sad – another young life needlessly lost.

Response:

There was also a soldier that died in Iraq, but differently. Female.. Was a student at the local High School, but graduated 2 years ago. Said on the news the soldier had symptoms of diabetes, complications. Then on the way home, or at a armed forces medical hospital.. She died of diabetic shock. By the picture I seen on the news. She was not overweight at all. Young..20 years old. I will try and find a article about it, share it.

I saw Moore’s documentary.  To be honest if you do read, it was a repeat of things I already knew.  You don’t have to spend a dime on his movie to find out what is going on.  This is all about money.  Our troops are being used and have been after we started into Iraq.  They were doing their job when we invaded Afghanistan, but they are not working for the US anymore, they are working for Bush and Halliburton. If you can’t see that, you just don’t really want to believe it.  I don’t blame you…it is unbelievable! Curt

1.  What happened to that killfile all of a sudden? 2. I already spent 13 years in the military, and some of that was in the Middle East. 3. They hate us and want all of us to die. 4.
