Not quite yet.  I just bought the book today and plan on starting on Monday.  It does come highly recommended though – I know several folks on it who have had great success and are very happy with it. I bought the book, read it and did diet for a while.  The book is poorly written and confusing.  Food lists are incomplete and inconsistent at best. Foods that are in the recipes are not on the food list, food list foods are not in the recipes. But hey, it’s a great way for you get hooked into paying $30 bucks to be a member on the website w/ an ongoing monthly fee. : At least I got what I paid for it on ebay. ~Kat "Rice Krispies.  East meets west"   Cosmo Kramer

I just got the book today.  I got it at the library.  I got it mainly for some recipes.  DH & I have been LCing for about 6 weeks now.  We have Adkins book.  I am still gathering information from all sources.  I have Dr.Phil’s new book too. We are doing very well with just reading labels & staying away from foods too high in carbs.  He has taken his belt in 6 notches so far & I have lost over 15 lbs.  We both feel great!!  My B/G readings have gone way down.  I MAy be on my way to not needing the diabetic meds, or maybe a cut back.

Good luck on you diet – I was on it for about 3 weeks and had lost 12 pounds, then went to the second stage where the weight loss is somewhat slower. Then I went to a two week family reunion where I gained back  4 of my lost pounds, but am now back on it. It does work.

Yes. My wife and I are on it. The book may be confusing for some who need absolute rules, but the thing I take from the Diet is that it is flexable and needs to be tailored to the specific individual. There are things in the Phase 1 recipies that aren’t specifically in the Approved Food List, but they appear in small quantities and only on one or two days. My wife lost 12 pounds in Phase 1 and another 2 the 1st week of Phase 2. I lost 15 pounds from 1 week prior to our official start through the end of Phase 1. I needed to move into Phase 3 style eating because I can’t really afford to lose more weight. (I’m on it to change my diet to a diabetis friendly diet and because I do all meal planning and cooking for the family, so I need to know what to do). My wife wants to loose faster, so we will be including Phase 1 days a few times per week. I would recommend this over Atkins if you need more variety in food choices and don’t really like that much meat. My wife couldn’t start Atkins because the meat choices and amount of intake was too much for her. This may take longer, but it is a diet we can live with for the long term. That is important for us. By the way, we haven’t signed up for any website and are doing just fine. Hope this helps.   Kurt – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Not quite yet.  I just bought the book today and plan on starting on Monday.  It does come highly recommended though – I know several folks on it who have had great success and are very happy with it.
