Ketosis Strip question?
Question:
Thanks so much everyone for your quick replies!!
Response:
Anywhere from light pink to dark purple is considered Ketosis, and is a safe state to be in while LCing. I get a mid-dark reading after exercise, very light in the AM’s, sometimes almost not dark enough to be called "trace". Hate that…. but I’m never dark purple and have lost 55 pounds being light pink LOL Best of luck! ~*~pie~*~ 254/198.5/150
Response:
It was at the moderate level, on the package it told me if it turned moderate or dark to consult my physician, as it was a sign of diabetes.
The strips (and thus the warnings) are designed for diabetics on non-LC diets. They’re not designed for LCers or non-diabetics, so if you’re using them for anything other than testing for unexpected ketoacidosis, you have to pretty much ignore the warnings.
Response:
I just bought some Ketosis strips and tested my urine after being on induction for 2 weeks. It was at the moderate level, on the package it told me if it turned moderate or dark to consult my physician, as it was a sign of diabetes. My question is, is that where I want it to be? Or should I be concerned. Thanks, Laurie

You are when I am but I think you want to be at the end (dark purple). – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -I just bought some Ketosis strips and tested my urine after being on induction for 2 weeks.
