I listen to?
Question:
From Guy Williams If a person has a financial motive for posting you should suspect the advice offered. If a person seems to obsessed with some idea their advice is likely to be defective. They will expound any idea that will prove they are correct. Some actually convince themselves they are saving us. Diabetes is a serious "disease" and this group is not is the place to play games. I am up at 4 am with some problems. It is no fun to lose sleep and to hurt.. So I come to the group to divert my attention. Even though I try to remain civil I do get pissed off. Then I think "dawned fool will find out that diabetes is not a joke". Their time will come. If you are lonely, there are more suitable groups than this one. I feel that we are intruded on by those trying to put on a show. ] We need to keep our eyes on the real purpose of the group and needs of diabetics. I think most people know this.
Response:
I think every group, whether it’s about a tv show, a sport, diseases/conditions, whatever, is subject to some common types that we have to put up with/accomodate/correct — occasional (or worse) scammers/spammers (who get roundly denounced) posters (regular or occasional) hipped on a certain treatment/philosophy/idea (who get argued with) unfortunate newbies who innocently ask about xxx (and get flamed) the misinformed who make innocent mistakes (and get flamed) trolls ordinary types who make typoooos (and get varying reactions) and so on If a person has a financial motive for posting you should
suspect the advice offered. If a person seems to obsessed with some idea their advice
is likely to be defective. They will expound any idea that will prove they are correct. Some actually convince themselves they are saving us. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – ….
