Usenet problem?

Categories: Diabetes

Question:

I read Usenet sometimes at work, via a company-owned server on the east coast, and at home via an Earthlink-owned server I-don’t know-where. A heck of a lot of newsgroups have no posts since the wee hours Monday morning.  Some of them are very active groups with participants from all over the world.  It’s the same groups on both servers. Google shows the groups are still alive. One of them (for you support folks) is misc.health.diabetes But since I have no evidence the support folks ever really do anything, does anyone else have an explanation? ???? — Wes Groleau http://freepages.rootsweb.com/~wgroleau

Sounds like the server is backlogged. It happens, and it’s quite annoying. But there is not much that can be done about it. I would check out Google every so often, to make sure you didn’t miss any important posts.        Norma   — Follow the white rabbit… But don’t get lost!

Especially when you are in the middle of an exciting thread and you are anxious to see what responses you get, and it seems like everybody ignored you.        Norma   — Follow the white rabbit… But don’t get lost!

Especially if you’re in the middle of that exciting thread and it’s a 24+ hour bottleneck.
