Question:

I felt like my brain was being split into 2 when I was on Abilify.  I was talking to myself and answering.  I hope it works for someone…one more day until I see my psych doc.  I’m a little nervous.  I’m going to bring up Geodon.  Maybe I could lose a few pounds.  That’s why I tried Abilify…

I have lost 20 pounds of weight while on Abilify, but I am getting a facial tic and shakey hands.  It is not as bad as when I was on Lithium, but it is troubling.  I saw my therapist and he read an old reference on TD.  I seem to be getting a mild case.  It could be all the solvents and nerve agents I was exposed to back in the laboratories in my twenties and thirties.  My back is also getting bad (creeks and cracks alot) which could be the cause of some of this as well. Luke Flyswatter, I like your handle.  When I used to bowl, I liked to say, "Use the force, Luke" ala Star Wars.

Response:

I’m a big starwars fanatic.  The first 3 movies were the best, but a true fan can enjoy all 6.  When I was just a kiddie I bought a starwars trivia book and memorized it.  What a geek, eh? "I’m not afraid" "Hmmm?  You will be.  You WILL be." That stuff cracks me up! Phizer and the other companies need to get their crap together and start making the medicines without sideeffects. They’re making 1% (shizo) of the population obese with diabetes walking down the street with their tongues stuck out. I’d like the CEO to go on Abilify for a year and see how he turns out. Too bad I lost my brain or they’d have me as a disgruntled employee. A bitter shizo in the breakroom eating everything in the vending machine. Ok…I rant every once in awhile.  Just bare with me.  Actually I’m jealous that Abilify worked for you.  I tried it like 2 years ago.  I had all the hope in the world to lose some weight.  Now, 20lbs heavier, I’m still in search.  Tomorrow I get another chance to lose weight with Geodon if all goes well with the doc. Wish me luck! Until then this is Red Five…I’m going in….

Response:

Luke Your idea for the CEO to take Abilify is a good one!  I also would like all psychiatrists to take an antipsychotic for at least 6 months before prescribing it to anyone.  I think they should know first hand what the side effects are like before submitting others to that torture. good luck with the switch to geodon! penguin

Response:

For me geodon started like I was tweaking. It gave me a little buzz like I was wired on to much caffeine or something. Geodon keeps me closer to normal than zyprexa did. I was flat on my back with zyprexia and I gained a lot of weight. With geodon the weight has come off and it doesn’t keep me on my back. I’m up active and reasonably satisfied. Good luck with geodon….. Thanks.  After trying so many different meds, I’m a little nervous. Changing meds is kind of like skydiving.  Either a bumpy landing or you crash head first into the ground, but I’m up for the venture.

All those drugs (poisons) are dopamine blockers. Dopamine doesn’t cause voices! Dopamine helps us to feel good! Neurontin helps our natural gamma-aminobutyricacid, GABA, block glutamate. Glutamate makes us more aware so that, included in this expanded awareness, you will find "voices" to hear. We are instantly in contact with the whole infinite universe and all its intelligences by probability transduction communication which our expanded awareness can facilitate. And, with that there are a limitless number of mischevious intelligences who will harass us. When we hear voices we are using more than the standard 10% of our brains. Those larger portions of our brains are capable of doing amazing things, including probablity transduction communication. Probability is faster than light. If I throw dice, that throw changes the probability of getting that same throw throughout the universe instantly. All the advanced extraterrestrial civilizations communicate by probablity transduction communication, not electromagnetic communication; so, SETI and NASA are wasting time and money in their attempts to detect extraterrestrial electromagnetic communications. But, let them waste money; hopefully there wont be enough to support psychiatry. http://community.webtv.net/mpereira/TheSecretsofthe

You are very vocal about Christianity, yet Anti-psychiatry.  In my humble view, I believe both can hurt and both can heal…that both can exist in this world we live in…and that both are necessary. are you taking your medicine? psychology was my major in college, and that is considered a pseudo science by "some".  Psychiatry on the other hand, has long been proven NOT to be pseudo science (unless of course you talk to Tom Cruise) by just about 99.99% of the population. I have this feeling that Seroquel might work for you.  Maybe around 300 or 400 mg per day.  Just tell your doctor you’d like to try it some free samples. Keep taking the Ativan, it can help you be calm.  If you quit Ativan, cut back slowly over a long time, or else just stay at the same dose every day, don’t increase it. <dun…@yahoo.com> wrote in message

Response:

It is terrifying that most of the population approves of psychiatry. I do know that Pentecostalism and most of Fundamentalist Christianity think psychiatry is Satanic. That’s good! With the existence of God proven soon we could have a big revival which will make Christianity the majority again. Even Nostradamus predicted a new "Dark Ages" after a few years of advanced technology. Then we will be rid of psychiatry and their "thought police" technology.      For over thirty years I have done everything in my power to avoid dopamine blockers, which are unbearable torment to me. I’d prefer euthanasia to dopamine blockers. I take neurontin, which shuts out the extra perceptions, which can cause a disabling information overload. Dopamine blockers, which are in all the drugs which are referred to in these posts, are primarily used to disarm their victims. Also they prevent "thrills" from doing "unusual" things. They prevent  "self aware" people from enjoying their "extra sensory perceptions", ESP, but they certainly don’t stop them. Acetylcholine would have to be blocked to such an extent that its victims would be paralyzed before their ESP was blocked down to a "legal" onsciousness.      It’s all in the text books; but, books that only medical personel are alowed to see. I had a friend in the hospital whose occupational therapy was to keep the medical library into which no unauthorized personel were allowed to go. He snuck me in and I found a big book of human physiology that I never saw available to the public. In it I copied the whole chapter on "Delirium". There it showed that the realm of delirium and psychosis lies between "normal" consciousness and coma; and, it revealed over 600 way of going there. The ancients have called this the Underworld since time immemorial and psychiatry is just acting as an "inquisition" to protect these secrets from the common people, to reserve them for a  privileged elite.      There is oppressive suppression here behind the "plastic curtain". I was sent an ad which had a textbook on toxicology for $399. But, you had to sign that you had the qualifications for it, under penalty of perjury if you lied.. I picked up the same book at a news stand in Cluj, Romania for 8 Lei, and no hassle. A Lei was worth a quarter back then under Ceaucescu. Kids of any age could buy and drink100
