I need to find a wholesale supplier or mail-order plan for buying test stripes and lance-ets. Our insurance doesn’t cover the supplies and for the 2 of us it is quite expensive! My husband has the "Fast Take"meter and I really like it much better then my one touch, you don’t have to have very much blood,it’s quicker and you don’t have to worry about cleaning it.  If our insurance would cover it, I would change over,I hate using my husband’s as it has a 14 day average reader. If anyone knows of away for me to save

I got my meter free when I joined a diabetes study group at our local hospital. Also if you check at the bigger drug stores then can sell you a meter with coupons that give almost all your cost refunded to you. Then, Social Security is now providing all my testing supplies through a middleman contractor drug company. They send my strips about once a month for free to me.  Check on this. Where do you live?  It is now mandated by law in 34 states that insurance companies must cover your supplies.  I found a list of those on the ada site: www.diabetes.org
