One Embarassed Bank! (No Connection to Diabetes)

Categories: Diabetes

Question:

Dear "E" I have never posted a JOKE on this newsgroup, and I don’t remember anyone else doing so either … so, hope I’m not setting a bad precedent.

I’m still snorting about this newsflash, Ted, so it must be a "good thing". The reactions of the recipients had to have been absolutely nothing compared to the reactions of the bankers when they learned what had happened. The originator of the virus has probably been laughing all the way "from" the bank for days, out of sheer anticipation. I guess they’re in for yet another round of abject apologies. Truth is not only stranger, but also funnier, than fiction. Thanks for the lift!

Thanks for the response.  Although I have a small circle of people with whom the members routinely circulate humor, I don’t normally post humorous   items on newsgroups.  However, this one really "grabbed me," so I made an exception.  Stay well … Ted

Ted Rodrick T2; Insulin & Glucophage When Banks Insult Their Investors Fuji Bank Ltd. announced today that the Japanese giant accidentally sent out an e-mail virus to key investors that opens a message calling each of them a "big stupid jerk." To add insult to, er, insult, the virus also changed the name of some recipients to "Dr. Mountain Dew," according to bank representatives. Fuji is one of the big three Japanese banks merging to form the world’s largest bank. ATTRIBUTION:  From 8/27/99 Winmag.com’s "Mike Elgan" Newsletter
