Hello Dave, I got started in Nikken just two months ago and have been going through my own ‘convincing’ stage. I live on a small island in Hawaii. The stories I heard were all about people I didn’t know that weren’t on the island. So I started slow and shared the products with my friends to see if I could get some results from people I trusted. And I am pleased to say I have gotten positive results. There are quite a few ‘amazing’ stories people always hear about first that make them skeptical. I will just mention the ones I saw personally. One product Nikken has is called a Magstep. It was the first product they developed 20 years ago. Understand that although in Japan these are medical devices, here in the U.S. no medical claims can yet be made about magnetic or far infra-red devices. So I can only say what has worked for others, and that it may work for you. Anyway, the magstep is a shoe insert that has bumps on one side to stimulate acupressure points. The whole thing is an alternating gridwork of positive and negative polarity magnets. The magnets are said to increase circulation and bloodflow to an area of the body where they are placed. There are stories of these magsteps helping people with diabetes who have edema (swelling in the feet and legs). So one of the first things I did was get a pair for a friend that had this problem. I let her try it for free for a week to see if she noticed anything. After 4 days, she said she had thin ankles, which she hadn’t seen for months. She felt they were helping to give her energy and keeping the edema down. She ended up buying them. She finds them a little intense and now wears them every other day. I have heard it may take an adjustment period to get used to them. It makes sense, she now has blood flowing in areas were it hasn’t for a long time, so at first there may be some discomfort. She does notice on the days she wears them she has more energy. I have had other results of people healing pulled muscles in shorter times. I am now convinced that magnetic products work. Not everyone can feel it though, but I know it is doing something. I still promote the items by letting people try them for a week free. That way they can make up their mind to if its right for them. Hope this helps you decide if Nikken is for you Dave. And I would be happy to share any information with interested parties. Chris Dawe, LMT
