Federal Gov't filed this A.M. to stop payments!!!

Categories: Diabetes

Question:

Amazingly, this vital info is not yet posted here! And I am the LAST person who would claim to understand and interpret the legal jargon … ESPECIALLY in the state of mind it puts me now (as if my already decreased ability to understand new information were not enough!)!!!   THEREFORE, do NOT accept that I have all the facts, or am using all the correct words, etc … DO BELIEVE me when I tell you that I think it important enough to post anyway … so that YOU CAN CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF IMMEDIATELY — BEFORE YOUR ATTYS/CONGRESSMEN’S OFFICES TAKE OFF FOR THE WEEKEND!!!   IOW, I don’t want to alarm anyone unnecessarily, but just as much, I don’t want a day to lapse before the Congressmen are inundated with outraged calls about this! (I have ATTEMPTED to verify all this, and as I type am waiting on call backs from several people, including my own Congressman’s office, and those connected with the steering committee… ) According to the information I have right now, the Federal papers WERE FILED THIS A.M. — asking for a temporary injunction (?) — this means these papers are on a "fast track" to be approved (or not) by a Fed judge … it is within his power to rule on this IMMEDIATELY, tho I am told it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that any judge will do this on a Friday.  (Apparently the person making this statement is not familiar with just how unlucky I have been in all this.. I would add LOL except I cannot, even for the sake of appearances, pretend this isn’t catastrophic.)  The upshot is that we can fully expect this to be ruled on as early as Monday.   I am further told that, if this person was correct, according to the Plaintiff Steering Committee, that this does NOT ONLY affect the refund checks due to be mailed out on the 22nd of May, but ALL PAYMENTS !!!!!  IOW, IF the judge approves this preliminary injunction, that ALL PAYMENTS WILL STOP IMMEDIATELY! What can you do?  Not much, but giving the Congressman’s Office an earful can’t hurt — it was the US HOUSE, as I understand it,  (tho I’ve not been able to determine which component of the House) that APPROVED this request!  IOW, YOUR CONGRESSMEN DON’T THINK YOU HAVE BEEN PUT THROUGH ENOUGH, OR WAITED LONG ENOUGH FOR THIS SETTLEMENT … BUT HAVE CHOSEN TO JUMP IN NOW AND MUCK IT UP!!!

Sorry Sis, have not been on much except when I run across something to post and post. But don’t take the time to read since it is most garbage, same ole same ole. I am glad you posted this, you are right. Was Dow going to mail out payments on the settlement or do you know I had not seen that they were ready to make payments, but like I said have not been here but will look back some..My eyes have grown worse and seems corrections to them do not work. Diabetes is a living nightmare, if it is not one thing it is another. Love You, God Bless, Kay – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Amazingly, this vital info is not yet posted here!
