Question:

Not sticking up for the Jeff clown at all but, what the hell is wrong with driving a SUV? Thirty gallons to the mile. There are a lot of them driving around my nice little suburbie town right now with flags on them.  It’ll be interesting to see what happens if the gas prices start to skyrocket as the result of the "war on terrorism."  I wonder what will be the first to go, the flag or the SUV?  I’m suspecting it’ll the be the flag, ’cause you know the battle cry of SUV owners:  you can mess with my country but don’t deny me my inalienable right to drive any gas-guzzling, road hogging, highway-rolling metal monster I want, dag-nabit!

Ha.. easy for you flatlander townies to say.. I was down your way (Brookline) t’other day and saw all those townies with their SUVs.. Yeah, they really don’t have a need for them but I surely do. Couldn’t get to where I live from November thru mud season without one. 13.5 mpg sux, but whatcha going to do? Wendy, Don’t you think that’s exaggerating a bit? Most of the mid size have V6’s and they don’t get much worse mileage than a mid sized car. In fact, my wife has a Windstar and it gets around 20 mpg on the highway. Road hogging? No more space than a mini van or pickup, in fact less for most. What do you drive? Let’s analyze that. Let’s also analyze your life style to see how _you_ utilize resources. — Bob Visit my information & link page at (New URL) http://twilight.webbernet.net/~gooteebob news.newusers.questions Moderation Team Worker

Not sticking up for the Jeff clown at all but, what the hell is wrong with driving a SUV? Are you on the board that tells people what cars to buy on your preferences? How about houses? You criticize them also if they don’t meet your standards? People bitch about SUV’s but they sure sell a ton of them. — Bob Visit my information & link page at http://twilight.webbernet.net/~gooteebob news.newusers.questions Moderation Team Worker

It’a amazing to watch these clowns brag about their large-chested girlfriends, their mountains of money, and their shallow hedonistic lifestyle.  Any pimp or drug dealer on the street can do the same, and you don’t see people lining up to be heroin dealers. They truly seem to believe that because their activity earns money, it must be justified.  And they blatantly smirk about their profits, as if fleecing people and being a jerk was really hard work or something. big fucking deal dickhead with money. This is what we gotta hear when coming to a newsgroup for help and support? Apparently you people aren’t really ill. Maybe you just have that ‘borderline’ diabetes some people talk about. Because if you were really ill and having a bad time with diabetes, you wouldn’t be bickering about stuff. You’d be searching for help and support, and eager to give it, and if somebody spammed or posted something you didn’t think was OK, you’d ignore it because you’d be more interested in controlling your disease than in controlling a newsgroup. cc’d by email Ronnie hit on one thing which always floors me.  These twits who complain loudly that WE complain loudly, and say "we should IGNORE…" I can understand those who ignore or killfile those of us who flame spammers, but to tell US to ignore, instead of doing what they say WE should do, shows that they are not really complaining about our posts, the REAL reason they are complaining is because we are against spam, and they are spammers under a different name. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – <snip if somebody spammed | or posted something you didn’t think was OK, you’d ignore it because you’d be | more interested in controlling your disease than in controlling a newsgroup. <snip If those are not good enough reasons I suggest you might want to take your own advice and ignore me when I give spammers a hard way to go. <snip

Ok Dr.  Ooooops you aren’t a Dr. but you seem to be able to decide who is sick and who is not.  I don’t ignore spam.  There are two reasons for that. 1. I have seen groups so over run by spam that the spam out numbered the real posts 10 to 1. 2. People new to diabetes might believe these scams. If those are not good enough reasons I suggest you might want to take your own advice and ignore me when I give spammers a hard way to go. — Ferris Bueller: Life moves pretty fast.
