It is actually an approved indication (weight loss) in some markets outside the USA, so the papers are likely to be a bit more difficult to find, and very likely, not in English…

No, you weren’t dreaming.  Glucophage does cause weight loss, depending on the individual.  All the other oral medications seem to promote weight gain.  I take Avandia and Glucophage – the Avandia is winning. :-( – limey
