Diabetes and Master Cleanser

Categories: Diabetes Type

Question:

You are right. I didn’t include his exact age of his premature death. That kind of mistake is unforgivable.

At least you’re capable of admitting the obvious. Since you’ve refused to say how old Burroughs was when he died, it’s apparent that you don’t know. Therefore, to call his death "premature" is absurd. If he was 91 when he died, that’s hardly premature. All that matters is that you are an avant garde healer, bucking the trends, overturning the stuffed shirt scientists as a cool holistic rebel.

Who are you talking about here? Let’s try to keep the discussion on Planet Earth. Anyone who makes fun of such revolutionary healers should be considered an enemy.

See above. Remember – you are either a believer – 100% – or one of those evil skeptics – one or the other – black or white.

Since I’m skeptical of your arguments, I guess I’m the skeptic. Before you buy.

Response:

Since Burroughs kicked in 1991, it appears that the Master Cleanser Lemonade Fast may need to be drunk more than the  6-12 times a day that he recommended. He probably didn’t get enough of the crap into his system and died.

This sarcastic statement completely destroys your credibility. So what if he died in 1991? Was he 100? Was he 40? In your zeal (is it personal?) to attack the guy, you somehow overlooked the most important fact. Before you buy.

I admit that I am one hell of a sarcastic SOB when it comes to goofy insanity. If I were you I would write me off. You are right. I didn’t include his exact age of his premature death. That kind of mistake is unforgivable. I would encourage you to investigate his sensible health system and follow it. Then get back to us with a testimonial as to its healing power. It doesn’t matter if his system is logical or not. All that matters is that you are an avant garde healer, bucking the trends, overturning the stuffed shirt scientists as a cool holistic rebel. My worry is that we often reject everything Santa Claus says – even though it is preposterous to think he really exists – some of his work might be valuable. I think there are very few ‘bad’ married bachelors who do not have some redeeming qualities, and the same may apply to the theory of square circles. Burroughs says that your colon needs help clearing out all this gunk that has built up in your intestines, so we should take him seriously, keep our minds open and not dare make fun of him. Not only that, but very few living, breathing cartoon characters, able to change into any shape at will, have nothing of value to offer us and without looking carefully we might reject their nuggets of wisdom.  In a magical fanasyland, everthing is possible if you only believe. But please don’t ask me to have to think my way through all of this. — Kali On Line; http://members.xoom.com/arniskali/

I have type II diabetes and I know that fasting is strongly discouraged for diabetics.  However, Stanley Burroughs’ "Master Cleanser" has provisions for diabetics.  I know that the MC is generally well-regarded but I don’t know whether it would be safe for me.  Are there any diabetics who have experimented with the MC?  Can anyone suggest a good, unbiased source of information? Before you buy.

Response:

Lemon Juice, Maple Syrup, Cayenne Pepper (The Master Cleansers) are components of a mystical self-healing system developed by medical dimwit Stanley Burroughs and expounded by him in Healing for the Age of Enlightenment (1976). It is basically a mono-diet variation wherein one ingests daily, (for ten to 40 or more days!), nothing except 60 to 120 ounces of a drink that consists of lemon (or lime) juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper (red pepper), and water. Its main premise is that lemons and ripe limes have unique "anionic properties" to create the "energy" necessary for health maintenance. Another of its premises is that "Nature" creates infections to assist in "burning" one’s "surplus wastes." Since Burroughs kicked in 1991, it appears that the Master Cleanser Lemonade Fast may need to be drunk more than the  6-12 times a day that he recommended. He probably didn’t get enough of the crap into his system and died. In this wacked-out scheme, he recommended an herbal laxative tea to be taken twice a day, with no other food to be consumed. He said it could be safely extended to 40 or more days, depending upon a person’s physical condition. Of course, he failed to mention the inevitable organ damage that would accompany such systematic starvation. "Disease is simply the accumulation of wastes, toxins, or poisons in the body, which in turn creates the myriad symptomatic illnesses we are seeing so prevalent in people today. The glands and organs of our eliminative systems can easily become overwhelmed by wastes from poor diet, lack of exercise, tension, air and water pollution etc. As much as several pounds of waste can literally become impacted in the colon, adhering to the walls. Over time, the waste will then begin to leach into the blood stream, causing it to be recalculated throughout the body, and settle into the tissues and cells. This settling of toxins is the final step that acts as a precursor to disease because its constant presence weakens the cells and eventually the entire immune system. It stands to reason, then, that cleansing the body of this accumulated waste serves to rejuvenate the innate healing mechanisms of the body, so that they can function at optimal capacity to restore health and vitality." If you believe any of that, you have proven yourself to be a complete illiterate when it comes to medicine, biology, and human health. Not one thing cited above has an ounce of truth in it. Despite the fact that it is 1910 medicine recycled from the 1960’s, theories of "toxins" and "colonic impactions" are making a HUGE comeback and people are dumb enough to think it is new. The book says that your colon needs help clearing out all this gunk that has built up in your intestines. This fast will supposedly cleanse your system of accumulated poisons and cure everything that ails you. It SOUNDS good if you are a "medical hillbilly". But doctors look into the colon with fiber optic devices thousands of times a day and find that they are just as pink and as clean as can be. This theory has been totally discredited. But don’t let facts get in your way! No amount of evidence will stop people from trying this crazy scheme. BUT WAIT! Maybe his theory is correct! Because if you DO fall for this one YOU REALLY ARE FULL OF SH__ AND TOXINS! But no one with any sense need sucker in to this scam. "Because the act of digesting food consumes our energy on an ongoing basis, it follows that the elimination of solid food for short periods of time will make the energy normally used for digestion available for the process of detoxification. Thus the first step is to stop eating food so that the lemonade drink can commence its work. Because the lemonade drink is easily assimilated, it places little or no demand on the digestive system. Fresh squeezed lemon juice is a powerful cleanser for the body, and is also high in vitamins. Additionally, it is the only fruit or vegetable to contain cationic and anionic minerals. (OOOHHH! Wow! Those words sure sound scientific.) Lemon also helps loosen and break up mucus in the body. (Back to this MUCUS BS again? I thought that died out years ago. It all started with this idiot Arnold Erhet. Without mucus you would be a dead duck. If you have a cold or flu, treat it. You don’t need to loosen and break it up as part of some wacky health practice). "Mucus is one of the body’s defenses to protect itself against irritations. When too much mucus settles in any one area, disease is the natural outcome. Those of you familiar with color therapy will also know that lemon – when consumed fresh squeezed, releases the color that stimulates the body to cleanse itself. (Colon cleansing is stupid enough.now he is saying that the color is going to exert some mysterious effect) Cayenne pepper, another key ingredient of the diet, breaks up this mucous and acts as a cleanser for the digestive, respiratory, and circulatory systems. The maple syrup provides energy from an unprocessed sugar which still contains many of its original nutrients. On the subject, the absence of minerals and vitamins in processed sugars makes the digestive system rob the body of these precious nutrient stores in order to metabolize the sugars. If too many processed foods are eaten, the pancreas seems to be one of the first organs affected, often resulting in hypoglycemia and then further deterioration of the pancreas leads to diabetes. The herbal laxative tea is used to stimulate peristalsis of the colon, since the only other way to do it is to eat a diet high in fiber. The lemonade drink, or Master Cleanser, having no fiber, must use a laxative to remove the waste as it is being shed from the colon wall." What a complete lie. There is no waste being shed from the wall of the colon! "Otherwise, it will stay in the body, leading to tiredness and any number of problems." — Kali On Line; http://members.xoom.com/arniskali/
