Actually I think I will follow it up…… After all whats the point of knowing the chairman (in this case woman) Of City Hospital without making a fuss ?

If you are trying to get a pump ( as you say in another post) this sort of manoeuvre will do yourself some good as well as your experience helping other diabetics in your area so I wish you well with your decision. To get the pump, you will need some clout, by being on the PCT will definitely help. The local consultant has children that he can not get the funding to put them on to a pump. He is raising funds by doing all sorts of different charity events himself.      One guess, (only a guess):      She went to school      She studied a textbook      She listened to lectures      She took and passed written tests      and all of the above said Adult-onset Diabetes = Type 2 That misconception is so widely spread that I can’t see it being an accident.
