convertin??

Categories: Diabetes Mellitus

Question:

As it is, I’ll check some reference sources when I get to work and see what I can find out.

The chemical name for convertin is Enalapril Maleate.  A couple of site with information follow: http://www.rxlist.com/scripts/patient/piumore.pl?mononum=408&order=0&… (may need to type this in if the line wraps) www.verity.fda.gov  (search under Enalapril Maleate) David P. Robin

Response:

First, to answer the question, since I suppose my other post was the cause: It is a pill that is supposed to help reduce the amount of MicroAlbumin (the 24 hour urine collection test result that is supposed to tell you if your kidneys are going to fail). I was given this by my doctor and it has indeed solved the MicroAlbumin problem for me. I also made a post yesterday wondering whether it had another possible side effect because of some experience I had with it.  I have no idea what its name might be elsewhere – Convertin is the name it has in Israel.

This is a completely reasonable request for information. Had this been your original post, (with this level of detail) I would have made no response.  As it is, I’ll check some reference sources when I get to work and see what I can find out.  This might or might not be spam.  It may be that you are being very dumb, rather than asking a leading question.  I will be interested if anyone gives an answer–If someone does, both of you are going to get reported.  I have no idea why the harsh reaction. This was a legitmate question.

As asked this time, it certainly is.  I answered you in the manner I did because we have had more than one instance of spam here in which someone says, "Does anyone know anything about X?", and "someone else" replies, "Yes!  X is the wonder of the age! Get yours at www.givemeyourmoneysucker.con. You are more than welcome to "report" us to (and I would deem it reasonable to add "you ignorant fool" but I won’t :-) .

Currently, I’m reporting spammers to this group at the rate of 4-5 times a week (not how I want to spend time, but I WON’T let them get away with abusing this group).  I admit that this has made me more abrupt then I should be.   My apologies. — David Robin dx sideroblastic anemia/hemochromatosis as of 8/98, chelation on hold due to removal of infected port (last ferritin, 644); taking folic acid and pyroxidine for sideroblastic anemia (my last hemoglobin count was 10.5-the highest its been in 25 years of testing).  IDDM (Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus) as a probable result of the hemochromatosis. Chelation has reduced my need for insulin by one third and my last Hemoglobin A1C result was Non-diabetic!

Response:

what is convertin and how is it obtained????
