How Can A Diabetic Lose Weight? Advice Welcome and Appreciated.

Categories: Diabetes Diet

Question:

I have been introduced to a new product called ProteCol,  (Protein/Collegen). It helps burn fat and increase muscle tissue, while your body is in rejuvenating mode while you sleep. I was at a product seminar last night, and they have had diabetics using this product with great results- monitoring your levels still applies. It is not expensive – It is recommended to start with a 3 month course. 4 bottles will last 6months (1 bottle per month for 3 months, then 1 bottle as a top up for three months) and costs Australian $70 per bottle or 4 bottles for $65 each. includes delivery. For more info – you can email me : Regards Nathan

Dude you can get the same thing at the grocery store for 7.99.  It’s gelatin plain and simple.  You are paying way too much for JELLO. K in Cali

I’m a Type 2 Diabetic looking for a way to turn flab into muscle through diet and exercise.  Any suggestions?  I am a 41-year-old male who lives a rather sedentary lifestyle (entrepreneur/sales).  I walk, but do little else in way of exercise.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You won’t turn flab into muscle…but it is possible to lose fat and gain muscle…have you read Dr. Bernstein’s book: The Diabetes Solution?  Makes for a good read. hth, Lynne 170 pounds lost the lowcarb way–maintaining since Feb ‘97
