Misinformation
Question:
There are always those that stick to a website forum and express utter rubbish. They have nothing to offer but selfish and erroneous nonsense. If this pretends to be a diabetic exchange – I suggest some may be more careful in their opinions. Otherwise I may have to correct certain habitual posters. And you will understand the law.
I presume you are going to explain yourself? R — www.flyingrat.net

And there are those who just troll NG’s. They have nothing to offer but selfish and erroneous nonsense.
And those trolls have nothing at ALL to offer. If this pretends to be a diabetic exchange – I suggest some may be more careful in their opinions.
I suggest exactly the same. Good thing THIS place doesn’t pretend to be anything then eh? Otherwise I may have to correct certain habitual posters.
Ahh, a cyber threatner. All the fucking same. Big mouth, no dick and most CERTAINLY no balls. And you will understand the law.
For you am de judge. Ok, we’ve all shit ourselves now, so you won. Now you can fuck off and leave us in peace. Beav

Ah lovely, nothing better for a diabetic support group than somoene randomly dispensing threats. I particularly enjoy the bit about the law. Which law? Of which country? Which is applicable in which circumstance? You may have accidenally tripped over something which could be interesting. Of course this is the wrong group for it, so it would be an OT discussion. Apart from that this post appears to be self-interested nonsense. Trying to be ironic? VBH T2/UK/A1c 5.8/ 1000Met/Dx Oct-03

I note your responses. It holds no surprise. Many feel the need to defend the nonsense they have perpretated on others. What I consider here is lost little boys and girls seeking help from the diabetic curse. I can understand that. And I can understand your anger at the unfairness of it all. But let us not argue. And we should not attack each other – if we are truthful. Sound advice can be confirmed. What is erroneous is heresay and emotionality. Never mistake opinion for fact. Many here make political comment. May I suggest you transfer that energy to your political representatives and ensure funding is given to diabetic research for a cure. Rather than to the Billions of Dollars, Euros and Sterling given to "political" diseases. If you understand that – then you will understand me. My respects –

Hi Cal I must have missed your earlier response. Please direct me again to your earlier posts on your experiences with diabetes and your support for others here. Sorry, but I did try google and couldn’t find any, but maybe you did the x-no thing? I mean, you have provided some supportive comments, or answered some queries here or on one of the other diabetes ngs, haven’t you? You’re not one of those who lurk, chiming in with an occasional glorious pompous pontification? Surely not? Of course, you could just piss off. Cheers, Alan, T2 d&e, Australia. Tsk Tsk. Spelling! BTW are you "speaking" English? ‘Cos I can’t understand what you’re trying to say at all.

FYI diabetes is a disease! The only curse we have to suffer is idiot trolls like you. I can understand that. And I can understand your anger at the unfairness of it all. But let us not argue. And we should not attack each other – if we are truthful.
You do not understand or you would not of posted this garbage. Sound advice can be confirmed. What is erroneous is heresay and emotionality. Never mistake opinion for fact.

After I read that I am sure you are on the wrong group. Please note the .uk at the end it means most of us do not pay for our medications and those that do, do not pay half of what diabetics in other countries pay. If you understand that – then you will understand me. My respects –
If you had any respect you would not be using a yahoo posting address or google to post from stop hiding you bloody coward and show your self. DaveT
Response:
FYI diabetes is a disease Actually, I don’t think of it as a disease. That’s more something you can catch. Diabetes is a problem that part of MY BODY has. I’m not angry with it, rather I feel a bit sorry for it. I’m trying to support it as best I can for the greater good (of the whole me). — Bob Dx T1 4/4/2003, just a few units of novorapid when I need it (trying zeroish carb – kiddies, do not try this at home)
It was the stupid remark about the curse I was getting at. If I caught AIDS or developed cancer or any of a load of really disabling/fatal conditions then I *might* think I had bean cursed. To think of diabetes as a curse shows an ignorance of the term and a bit too much self pity for me to stomach. I seem to remember a group of medics at some worldly gathering about a year or two back declared in there wisdom it was to be henceforth called a disease because previous to then they could not make their minds up if it was a condition, disability or a disease. I have always thought of it as a bloody nuisance. DaveT

You couldn’t understand it or you’d realise we’re not "angry" about "the unfairness of it all" Who gives a shit? We’ve got it, we live with it and that’s fine by me. Be thankfull YOU dn’t have it. Well, you tried anyway. Full marks for trying, pity you’ll never make it. Cheers, Alan —
Response:
Naturally I do not respect what you may respect. I cannot tolerate weakness. There are two types of doctors: 1) Those that pander and lie. Then tear their hair out at the stupidity and ignorance of those that attend their appointments. And they return and return. 2) Those that regard you as something of a rabbit. This will apply to many. Stop being a fool. If you wish to argue do so with those that consider you as foolish. I note the childish bravado. Educate your brain. Try and be a man. –
